anyone in here know exactly what makes rescue mode different than normal boot in centos7?
I have a vm that boots just fine selecting rescue from the boot menu, but anything else it says Warning: /dev/centos/root does not exist etc and drops me into dracut.
This was a exported vmware vm, so I'm assuming vmware did something annoying to it.

Has nothing to do with Linux (mostly).
He said he got dropped into Dracut. I didn't know what that is so I used the Google Machine. Turns out it is a city in Massachusetts.
