I do have to say that I am a little confused as to why it was closed. If a bunch of people want to get together and organized a good deal on something, that shouldn't be a violation of site policy? Perhaps they should have just organized in the main Mid-A forum? Nobody was selling anything other than an idea or a willingness to make some contacts to put it together. That would make it a "violation" of that sub-forum but not a no-no for the entire site?

I'm also thinking about whom will be held responsible if some or all of the hardtops weren't in the best shape.

I was thinking about getting on it to order a couple of tops to turn around and sell them.

It's not completely dead just yet, we just need more info before it'll fly on here. Too many unknown variables at this point, plus the whole blame game.
