No, the Govvies all were already off on the 26th using up the massive amounts of use-or-lose leave they have. It's the contractors who now have an extra holiday, which for them will be unpaid.
If they're lucky they can make up the hours the 22nd, 23rd, and 24th. I mean, who doesn't want to work late the day BEFORE Christmas, Christmas Eve, over the day AFTER?
