If some attacker is powerful enough to steal my encrypted data from somewhere like crashplan, they could probably just take it straight from my Synology too (I bet it would be easier that way. I'm no security expert).

I do love my uptime of 628 days 21 hours

This alludes to 4.1 being vulnerable, too? But, I wouldn't expect a mistake like that in NVD. You might want to upgrade if yours is exposed to the Internet.

Synology reported that the vulnerability has been fixed with versions 4.0-2259, 4.2-3243, and 4.3-3810 Update 1, respectively; the 4.1 branch remains vulnerable.

It was cool when they were posting about this after the race and I was quite happy when they finally got their sponsor to pay for getting the dog home with them. There were a few more pictures posted back then not sure if they are on their facebook page, I was following it on reddit with the help of some Swedsh folks doing translation of the stuff for us non swedish speakers.

I don't have anything configured in my current router to forward to it or anything else on the LAN at the moment.

It's not exposed to the outside, I used it mainly for hosting my VMs and some file sharing on a vlan

aaron, my body shop is going to be putting the mud flaps on for me.
Update on car:
i will NOT have it back tomorrow. I WILL be renting the rental car until TUESDAY next week. Total cost about $200. My body shop will be paying me back for it by deducting it from the amount i owe them for the deductible.
i WILL be driving to buffalo tomorrow morning at 7 AM with the rental and Khuno.
