My dogs would never allow this. They don't need an alarm clock to consistently decide that somewhere between 6:15-6:30 is the time to start the day's first wrestling session.
I get the bark wake up call.
Thankfully mine don't bark and are old now so they like the sleep in. They will get into the bed, lay on you and just stare at you sleep too late though.

Also the child wake-up call is much more effective.

baby used cry.

It's super effective!

I think the only thing more effective is the sound of a dog starting to barf.

In other units, 2GW is the entire output of one garden variety nuclear power station.

The cat hacking up a hairball on the first floor will wake me from REM sleep instantly.

Rough morning for me. Power went out last night and reset all of our alarm clocks. Ended up over-sleeping by almost an hour. Still managed to get my 'ish together and got out the door before 8 am (a personal record, I might add). I thought I'd be okay but found that I had to dodge three fender bender type accidents that eff'd traffic. took way longer to get to work than usual.

Commuting sucks. Wednesday looks like it is going to be SUPER fun.
Yea thats why I use my phone as my alarm clock. If my alarm didn't go off I would end up waking up at like noon.

We trained our cats not to bother us in the morning. The auto-feeder gives them their breakfast and, besides, the door is shut to the bedroom. They have to REALLY try to get us to get out of bed. For the most part, they are way too lazy for that.

I am completely immune to this by now. I have gotten in the habit of watching where I walk when I first get up in the morning, though. Landing on your ass because you slid on cat wharf is not a pleasant way to start the day.

You have no idea.

There was also that one time we found what remained of a mouse just outside our bedroom door. That was just LOVELY.

Home NAS.. I'm thinking of a Synology ds214se http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822108163

I don't really need anything fancy. Just basic backup and local file sharing.

Ever wonder how big Amazon "cloud" is?

Great Scott!
