Those are pretty much the Holy Grail of snow tires. You could autocross in a blizzard on those.
oh nice! I can safely assume that if I only use them for the winter snowy months, these would probably last me at least two winter seasons?

More bad news in the pet department...

Just found out that we are probably going to loose Sooty soon. He hasn't been eating like he should be so we took him to the vet for an ultrasound. Turns out that he has tumors growing in his stomach. Not 100% sure they are cancerous but this sort of thing usually is. More tests to come to find out for sure.

Bobbie and I have already decided not to pursue aggressive treatment. We are just going to make him as comfortable as we can for as long as possible then have him put to sleep. He has been a good friend for 13 years so this is going to be tough.

bummer I know he has had previous problems but hoped he was over it all.
It is probably all related. We got the vomiting under control with meds but that wouldn't have resolved the inflamed stomach and him not eating. We were hoping that it was just him being fussy about his food but that seemed unlikely since he has been eating the same stuff for at least the last two and a half years and never had a problem with it.

He is old so it is sort of expected. That doesn't make it any easier, though.

anyone familiar with General tires?
I run their winter tires and I like them. Surprisingly good tread life for as much as I beat on them last winter.

Maybe more. Put them on around Thanksgiving and take them off sometime before April.
