yes.
You can't really get a sharp image on an lcd monitor at any resolution other than the panel's native resolution. You just need to find a background image that is the same size as the monitor's native resolution.

Have you tried that?

Then then image you're trying to use is too small. You need a 1920x1080 pixel image.
