I want to get on a swing for a bit. Why don't they make swings for grownups? The thing is 1' off the ground - everyone is looking at you like your a pedophile, etc. sigh.

Stupid utilties companies... been on hold for a half hour already...
I actually had to go into DC then wait forever to turn my gas on after I bought my place because the previous owners had it shut off.
Yup. Currently on the phone with washignton gas.

You should play loud fart recordings in the background if you get them on the phone.

Wow that's like calling Comcast or trying to cancel your AOL subscription...

Anyone notice the large jump in their electric bill this month? Oh, that's right, we have a new TAX approved by the County. This is the highest electric bill we've ever seen - and that's even with not having power for a week.

I wouldn't even mind so much if PEPCO could guarantee reliable f@#king service. Nope, lining their pockets, like the rest of the big corps.

When we have our own home, I am definitely doing this, along with a battery bank (so we have stored power, not just linked to the grid to feed back, like is typical).

Also, solar water heating and solar tubes for lighting.

Yep, government sanctioned monopoly, that pays out to share holders.
