Just back from the Winchester doggie ER. They found a football sized tumor in Cody's chest/belly. He was admitted and surgery is imminent. Tomorrow in Leesburg, or Monday in Winchester, or even sooner in Winchester, depending on his condition. They think the tumor is on his spleen and is pinching off his digestive tract. This came out of nowhere, He was vomiting this AM and wouldn't eat. Then, he was leaving small dark puddles of blood from the other end, I noticed he was really bad off, when I ran to the store and came back in the house. Normally, he would bark and follow me all around until he gets his chew stick. He wouldn't even get out of his bed.

The good news is, they believe the prognosis is good. The bad news is, all three of my vehicles were just paid off. Now, I am considering a used car loan on one of them, as I am sure I can get better a better interest rate on that than a credit card. Hopefully, they are correct in believing it is not cancerous and can be removed without and serious complications.

It is time to consume some adult beverages so I can sleep and pray they don't call in the middle of the night to tell me they are doing emergency surgery. That would mean no Board certified surgeon and that he has become distressed.

He is in Vienna at the Hope Center awaiting surgery. We should have an update when the do the Ultrasound. They are looking to see if it is attached to any other organs, prior to surgery.
