I can provide lunch, adult beverages.
I'm happy to pilot any of those.

It would be a TON of fun to take the VFR if I could mostly stay off the highways. If you want to go the highway route and caravan together, uhaul motorcycle trailers are pretty cheap, and I can tow it with the family suv if the truck/van you're using doesn't have a hitch.

I want to say I'd take the VFR anywhere, but it seems like a long trip on 495/66 wouldn't by the wisest choice for my first highway experience. I'm comfortable on the side roads but I just haven't gone out on a highway yet.

edit: Or if you find somebody more experienced who can ride the VFR over, I'm happy driving the Miata. Whatever's most useful for you.

The VFR is easy on the highway, big fairings most of the wind. but riding around 495 and Tysons is scary in a car right now.

I will figure something out, once you get to Gainesville you can take 55 the rest of the way (goes past the Winery). It's fun on a bike or miata, not much in the Element.

I need to find out when I can get the co truck, will start this weekend with small stuff.

Either the 13th or 20th I am thinking.
The 13th is the day after I move into the apartment, so I'll probably still be busy getting things unpacked and stuff. I can help out with whatever on the 20th though.

I could use a hand getting the VFR and Miata out there.
with what he said. except I move the 13th, not the 12th.
