Lion "should" create a restore partition (small) that will allow you to boot to the internet and download lion again, incase you lose the drive or want to do a fresh install.

Ah, what a day. Two 1-hour round trips and some fiddling to install a VPN so we can do email via a remote wireless connection. Is muy plus le faster than dialup now.
