Somewhere at the junction of modern open-source hardware and early 80’s Russia lives a beautiful new device called the Ice Tube Clock. The centerpiece of this old-meets-new clock is a Russian-made, 9-digit, vacuum florescent display (VFD).

I'm not feeling the wood bases for the nixie ones, though. Not "industrial" enough.
I'd like to see a daytime photo of the VFD clock. I bet the tube is more obvious when the lights are on.
