Trying to be at zero owed and returned here. Always err on the side of getting a return. Liz and I used to get 7-8k back every year. But then that is income again, it gets double taxed, and you lose. Better to put some money aside in a savings account instead of letting the gub'ment make your interest on your money and then penalize you.

You never have to pay taxes on your fed tax return. Your state is actually a deduction.. so the net effect is 0.
The reason why you try to keep it as 0, is because you're giving the gov a tax free loan... however how much interest can you earn in that 1 year anyway?

I haven't bothered to fix them until the assigned badges come back... I don't want to have to keep re-doing it over & over. I've been fixing all my posts since 3/11 - if they get wiped out again...

So a coworker's dad passed while he was visiting him in CA. (They new it was coming.) He came over to talk cars and not think about what just happened but another user was at my desk;
Where have you been?
