Would a bmx with trail rated tires suffice for any of those trails or is that too hopeful?

I don't know. Never seen a bmx bike out there.. There are people who ride single speeds, and hard forks/tails, but the small frame/wheel size of a bmx might be a hindrance.

I bet you could physically make it over most of the terrain without stopping, but I don't know if you'd enjoy it.

My guess would be no.

Bummer. Guess I'll just buy a second bike. I was planning on it anyway. meh. Are these trails actual dirt trails with rugged terrain or are they like concrete foot paths?

Couldn't hurt too much to give it a try, if you want to stick with your current bike. Search "Schaeffer Farms" and you'll get an idea of what the trails are like. Much closer to you is Patapsco State Park, which also has awesome mountain biking trails.
