I don't know why, but regular water, they live forever. Soapy water, they're dead in a hurry.

I've also heard that alcohol will do the trick, but I haven't tried that one yet.

I was cruising home last night after work(yes, I was speeding) and one crawled out of my vent on the A pillar and I jumped since I saw it out of the corner of my eye. Yeah...don't freak out about little bugs while driving.
