Didn't make much progress. The shelving housing the a/v equipment is completed. Recessed the center channel. Did some sanding on the side walls. The previous owners must've just done enough to sell the place. Now that I've done some drywall, I realize what a crappy job they did.

Still have to build the slide out drawer for dvd storage. By my calculations, I should be able to house 144 dvd's in the cabinet. I've made no progress on the ceiling drywall. I keep ignoring it, hoping it will go away.
Yeah. Dealing with drywall sucks. But it does sound like you are making some progress. Are you still going to have it done by the time you guys have a cookout?

By the way, not to bring up a sore subject, but how's the car coming along.

Yeah specializes in my specific model, 968. He has one of the 4 factory turbo race cars and a couple of other 968s. He has developed head, header, cams, exhaust to get it from 236 crank to 300+ crank without a stand alone. It's been 11 years since they stopped making the car and he is the first one to sink any effort into NA development. I took it up for a good going over and suspension work then we'll see how much money I have to sink into it. I figured we may as well do it while I still have a job.
that's cool, but one hell of a drive

that's pretty bad ass though....as long as he does good work it's worth the trip on a specialty car like that

I hope to have the viewing area sans acoustical treatments by Feb 5- Super Bowl.

Funny you should mention the car... I talked to both Jeff and Dave, his mechanic today. I almost said to heck with it and was about to just drop another motor in it and be done. But after talking to Dave, rebuilding and lowering compression may be the key to longevity. I may have to pick up a 3" pulley to compensate for the lower compression. Currently, I am at a 3.25" pulley.

Yeah it was a hell of a drive but hopefully will be worth it in the long run. I am not sure how much of that stuff I will be doing to that car but I may pick up another one and let him have fun with it. I need that othere three car garage as I have a craving for an M3, C4, another 968 and my neighbor's '65 mustang convertible. Hmmm better make that a 5 bay garage.

The bay next to this mechanic's bay was being used for storage of a Lambo, GT3, DB8,GT2 and a couple of other expensive ass cars.
