As for the monitor pictured in this thread, it's actually overkill for any current media. There is no content being produced and readily available at that native resolution.

But you can definitely take advantage of what is available. I'm just thinking that you're at the mercy of what ever device you have doing the scaling. So in summation, you should just give it to me!
Many PC games support that resolution. It is absolutely gorgeous, when combined with the quality of the graphics of the latest games.

But yeah definitely no media/movies at that quality. Though digital cameras provide beautiful wallpapers for it!

It's less than a grand, if you pay attention to the sales...

Reminds me of the Simpsons episode when Maggie had her birthday... Homer goes "ooh" and starts eating the birthday cake, and Marge says "here, I made a separate cake that you can ruin"

"Here Naveed, a separate thread that you can ruin"

-----------

I just went to create said thread and saw that Alex had already created one

Are you getting those Carbon fiber splitters that were in that gallery thread that fell through on the group buy? Have you contacted the guy yet, cause I might pick those up as well, looked really clean and if they are priced around the same as last time quite a deal.
