I finally took the DVR plunge last night - this thing is awesome

I don't know how we lived without before!

Anyone else feel the same way?
Completely...

I can't see how i would live without a DVR now... lol

You no longer feel obligated to either stay stuck at home just to watch something or get the feeling of missing a show you really wanted to watch...

It really is awesome

Still the person's fault for being stupid enough to drive in the snow on S02s. It certainly isn't the tires fault for being driven in conditions it wasn't made for. Personally if I had to drive my S in all seasons I'd have a set of winter tires (as summer tires don't do well in cold with or without snow) and a set for the rest of the year. Now if the weather sucks I just drive one of the 4x4s and the wife takes the other. I was thinking about a C4 Cabriolet as a daily driver but until I know the job situation is good that is just fantasy.
Of course. That's what I was saying in the first place - I was disagreeing with the idea that it would make someone a better driver to drive tires in conditions that it wasn't made for!

I don't have the luxury of being able to afford another car... and I tire of people telling me (not here, but in other places) that I shouldn't use all-seasons because I won't have the maximum possible grip in the summer, and that I'm not driving the car "the way it was meant to be driven."

And the last I will say is that you know that you lost traction at like 1-2 mph in the snow on your tires... so now you know your tires. Will you go out driving if you know there is snow in the forecast? No... So thats just the thing... if you know what your tires are capable and not capable of, you have to adjust your activities around that.
They're not my tires anymore

I agree with everything - don't even know how I got pinned to the "other" side!

hey its true....

But I don't see it being summer outside right now... and your tire choice should depend on your driving style. If all seasons give you all the grip you need in the summer then so be it...

What did you get, a Tivo? Or something else?

I've been considering one for months... maybe I should take the plunge too
