on the tires causing accidents!

People are responsible for accidents. Driving beyond the limits of the car or personal skill are still indicative of individual error. No other way around it.

Guns don't kill people. People kill people.
I agree, yet I see accident after accident happening in cold/wet conditions. What tires did a lot of them have? Max performance summer.

Of course the people are responsible. But you make it sound like the tires aren't a factor at all. If tires don't matter, let's see how people do with Racing tires in the rain and snow.

I just don't agree with the attitude of "I'll be fine, since I can control the car better than most." There are accidents that can happen that you cannot avoid if your tires are inadequate. You may be ok most of the time on bald S02s in the rain or snow, but if you needed to take evasive action because someone else makes an error, you are SOL, whereas proper tires might save you in the situation.

And when I saw that the max summer tires don't offer a clearly superior amount of dry grip (.93g vs .95g), I decided I would rather have tires that give me more traction in a variety of situations than one that would have very poor traction in adverse conditions. People can do whatever they want, but it's my opinion that Max Summer tires are a bit overrated.

How about I put it this way - I would feel safer with people running around with BB guns than real handguns.

Yes I know... I have every Final Fantasy that has been released in the US hehe...

But im talking about a complete remake in the sense that they retain the story and characters but redo the graphics to fit the current day and age
Didn't know you were a Final Fantasy junkie. I've also played the translated Japanese ones (2, 3, 5), and the ones on the old school Game Boy.

A remake would be quite amazing for FF6 (US FF3). An orchestral score of the music in that game would be spectacular. Some music major friends I know consider Uematsu's music in that game to be one of the finest works of the modern era.

The only once I've avoided is FF11, since I think MMORPGs would get me completely and totally addicted.

But what's the point in getting the systems for the better graphics. Might as well stay with the xbox and ps2
It's just a whole another world with HDTV. I can gaze at the nature stuff on the INHD channel for hours...

i wouldn't get one.... haven't you heard??

there's been numerous 360 systems crashing during game play giving an error.... there's also issues with rebooting the system where it ends up not rebooting when you try to restart it...also overheating problems....

and there's only going to be more and more issues with the 360... they jumped the gun trying to beat out PS3 when they saw the specs on it... and they screwed up bringing the system out prematurely...
Dylan, you need to register as a member, if not only to have a big "Sony whore" pic as your avatar.

The original PlayStations melted too. It's nothing new. I think the early launch will definitely help.

Pop, sometimes you make good arguments. Your last one about tires is way off. People are too blame... period. The only time they might not be is in a case like the Ford/Firestone fiasco.

I don't want to hear anymore about it.

First gen PS2's overheated and that's why they changed the design. I still have one of the first ones. Initially we did have it on the carpet, but quickly realized that wasn't going to work.

Tep, $10k for anything right now is out of my budget. I'm now leaning towards the 50" Elite(PRO1130). The guy at my local Tweeter has already knocked $1k off their selling price of $6500. They'll match any internet price for the mount. I will get no interest for a year and 5% off(will cover the tax) for being an A.V.I.D. member.

The pros on getting it from them is 1) local, 2) Elites can't be sold online, and 3) I can have it next week.

The cons are 1) price, 2) price, and 3) price.
