I had a meeting this morning with the structured wiring contractor for my new house. I am honestly quite pleased. All kinds of prewiring in all the places including ceiling mounts for wireless access points. It's going to be pretty sweet.

Sounds better than most of my meetings.

This was the first meeting we've had where I was neither out of my depth nor felt like I was being taken advantage of. The included "smart home" features are actually pretty good. I'm sure they wanted to sell me a security system or some sort of speaker system but I want neither so all the wiring is all I need. I am especially pleased that the video doorbell will be wired.

One thing did come up that I had not yet considered but need to make sure happens - outlets in the ceiling in the basement rec room. I need to be able to power my Sonos back channel speakers. I have them on pedestals now that sit close enough to outlets but I won't have that at the new house because they will be in the middle of the floor. Ceiling brackets make much more sense, I think.

It's a nice car, ride is a bit firm imo. They do make a nice noise, but relatively quiet inside the car, you have to put a window down to hear it. Handles pretty decent, but the hp doesn't quite match up to actual performance, it felt only kinda quick not like you'd expect a 424hp sports sedan.
If I wanted a sedan with a bit of oomph and didn't care about the grin it puts on your face it's a deal. New prices are silly, but this 21 with 3k miles for $54k is a heck of a deal.
Looked at used ghibli's for a minute. No room for car seats. Considering a quattroporte. Trying to decide on its DIY'ability.

I just like saying "Quattroporte" in a fake Italian accent.
