About 1/2 of my yard is underwater and just getting around / to work is starting to get scary. Flooded and eroded roads everywhere. Trees falling down because the soil is so loose. There are parts of my community that have been inaccessible to vehicular traffic since the storm on Monday. The power company can't even get in to fix the lines. I'm lucky since I am so close to the entrance but there are people down at the other end that are in no-joke trouble.

Dude... You don't want this. I was outside on a ladder in the pouring rain last night at like 9pm because my gutters were completely clogged and flooding the front yard. I'm not joking - it is BAD. Like 3+ inches of rain a day since Monday.

On the upside, the kitchen contractor is still able to make it in and he did some major work yesterday. It is just a two man team but they are working FAST.

I want to be left alone so I can sleep. Rain means I don't have to this, this, or that. I can sleep. If it is nice outside I'll get passive aggressively pestered into being awake before I want to be. I like how everyone seems to respect their significant other's sleep habits, but me? Nope. I'm the ahole for being in a bad mood when I get woken up before I want to be on a weekend.

You know me, Alex. My brain always wakes me up way before Bobbie would. If I tried to sleep past 10, she would be jumping up and down on the bed yelling, "You're burning daylight! Get your ass up!"

I would not be able to live with that. Melissa used to sleep in as well, but she changed when she started working full time. Now she keeps Army time. f that.

I'm not saying that it is always that way. I bet we both sleep in well past 9 this weekend... But, on an average weekend, we both get up with the whole "times a wastin!" mentality. That's just how we is.

You wake up and go this is broken, but I can fix it and you do.

I wake up and go yup schit's broken then go back to bed because I can't fix it and don't have a couple thousand to pay someone to do it.
