Liz and I got rid of our monkey grass and replaced it with 11 of these:

These should spread less. Monkey grass was supposed to be the non-spreading kind. It didn't follow directions.

We have never trimmed ours. I need to do it as it has over a decade of trapped leaves in it/ under it. It probably compost by now.
