Cool hands free faucet we got back around November of 2016 kicked the bucket yesterday am. I replaced the batteries and nada so I deduced that it was the solenoid. I cut all that out and got a stainless steel plated brass 4" nipple. Water is back on the menu, boys.

...this, of course, was after one of the ancient valves broke and water started shooting out like old faithful & I had to scramble to get under the house to turn the main off... and it was MUDDY down there.

Man... I hate it when that happens.

I remember back when I installed my dishwasher. I was convinced that I had set my house on fire so I ran to the crawl space smacking my back on the way in. Of course, everything was fine but I was laid up for days...

We have a root cellar under the kitchen so you can somewhat stand (thankfully). When it rains buckets though - it gets wet down there.

I always forget to do that. Maybe I should take care of that now while I am thinking about it?

Nah...
