The drywall looks good enough Jeff, I can see no major flaws.

I appreciate the notion but, trust me, they are there.

I have a question for the HAW collective...

Bobbie and I went furniture shopping yesterday - Jeffy wants a new recliner. The price range on these things is massive... I found ones as low as $400 but as high as $2500. Other than the material wrapped around it (leather vs burlap) or motors that make it go up and down with the push of a button, I cannot figure out what makes one better than another. At least enough to justify that huge disparity in cost.

It was a little frustrating, honestly. I sat in at least a hundred recliners. They were all either too much money, the wrong fabric, or the wrong color... Why is this so hard? Where do you all go for your furniture?

Dead mother in law's house. Everything must go! Furniture, furniture accessories, light bulbs, paint, carpets, lawn furniture, pet furniture... the list goes on.

Build quality and fabric.
Ethan Allen if you want to customize it, but be prepared to pay.
Macy's if you want a good mix of cost/quality.
Smaller furniture stores are your best bet for having varying qualities and price ranges (ie. Sofa Etc in Towson) to fit your taste/budget.

Paint? Isn't that going to be hard to get off the walls?

I am suspect on the "build quality." They will show you a fancy cut away of some chair or whatever and tell you that it will hold up to WWIII but you flip over a random recliner and you will see that it is made out of plywood or chip board. They are all the same... I can't help but think that the name has something to do with it. We didn't go to Ethan Allen but we did go to La-Z-Boy. They have a great selection but all of there stuff is $1,000 plus. Maybe that is what a recliner costs but that seems like a lot of money to me...

I guess I am but, to be honest, we would prefer to have a over-sized chair with an ottoman but our living room isn't the right size/shape for that much furniture. For the space we have a recliner is perfect.
