When we purchased our house ~2 years ago, the A/C system was about 5 years old. It had just been serviced for the year we moved in. I guess I need to look into getting it "serviced" for winter or whatever.

Also if its any condolence, I'll be in my office from tomorrow until next Friday because its the end of the quarter and software companies survive quarter to quarter. The upside is free B/L/D for a week...? Then probably get hammered on Friday in celebration of a great quarter. I really should stop drinking every weekend. Being 27 w/o friends lends me too much free time...

It is still hot in here.

They turn it off at 6 pm every week night and don't turn it back on again until 6 am. My guess is that it started working last night but didn't have enough time to do much good before 6 pm rolled around. There is definitely more cold air coming in now than it was yesterday afternoon so maybe they did fix it?

I think they are messing with it, though. The fan has stopped completely for a few seconds a couple times now. A little percussive maintenance?
