derp I totally forgot the X1 even existed... this is what happens when you are sooo out of being able to get anything past a couple grand now... you just stop staying in the loop. I post pretty neato looking cars but I'd probably only be to actually identify maybe 1 in 10.

They aren't very popular so I don't think you are alone. When she first got it, we hardly ever saw another one on the road. I see a few more now, though. It is a good car and the only X that is made in Germany. It doesn't suit my needs because it is super boring - although it does do a good job at The Dragon. Think of it as a refined 5-door Subaru.

My heart rests with a certain Mercedes at the moment but new house and shorter commute come first. Maybe some day... The Taco gets the job done so I'm not complaining. Some swag would be nice, though.

I just don't get why 'murica is so hesitant for smaller cars, etc. My Mini is a pocket rocket, the new ones are bigger & they have all these heinous other models... big & ugly... I get the full size truck thing to a point, they do come in handy, but if I were to pick between a 3 series or a 1 - it would be a 1.

Those things are super popular with the soccer moms around here. They are literally everywhere. I'm not that much of a fan of SUV's so I'd take em or leave em.

The one I am after is the C-43. Preferably coupe.

I'm just not comfortable in the little cars anymore. I can hardly tolerate the S for my commute. That's not t say that I want an Elvis era Cadillac, mind you. Just something I can stretch my legs in at least a little and don't have to fold myself nearly in half to reach the seat. Is that so much to ask?

The 43 is new this year. It is sort of the baby brother of the C-63 that has been around forever. The 63 is NICE, don't get me wrong... But holy cow is it expensive and I don't think I should have access to that much under my right foot - not in NOVA. The 43 seems like a nice compromise but, to be completely honest, the Sport trimmed versions of the regular C-Class models will probably get me where I want to go. The upcharge on anything with an AMG badge is kind of silly.

Again... All theoretical. House first, dagnabit!
