My commute is 40 miles. Drove 150 miles round trip to Arlington last weekend so Bobbie could do a 10 mile run. All that driving to and from Maine (although that trip was pretty awesome) was over fifteen hundred miles. Sometimes it feels like all I do is sit in a car...

I ran into an old colleague last weekend who is starting on a big, five year project with Customs & Border Patrol. CBP has a massive 100+ acre training facility right in Harpers Ferry. I told him to check on that and see if the contract would include staffing there. I would give up a fair amount of salary for what would be a 10 mile, fifteen minute commute. I'm sick of this sitting in traffic garbage.

Money isn't everything and having an easy working life right now would suit me just fine, thank you very much.

We don't have crushing debt. Aside from our mortgage - we're debt free. So yeah the no commute but no money thing is working. The downside is you're still limited to activities picking & choosing. So I want to say my reinvesting in xbox will pay off. Nobody has to get in the car etc for that. A bust in decision making would be where I signed up for a locker @ a cigar place in Cool Springs... I never go there so I paid for perks I never really use... oh well...

I can't say I have no crushing debt but the load is getting lighter. Another couple of years and Bobbie and I will be able to splash out on a fancy house closer to civilization without hurting ourselves. That's the plan anyways...

This is pretty much the longest Friday in history. Is it time to go home yet?

What is the interest level for XBL at about 7-7:30 PM EDT?

I'm game for sure... Especially since we failed last night. I ended up watching Grays Anatomy. WTF?
