FYI (Jeff) regular La Glorias pale in comparison to the Serie R.

I've kinda lost interest in Maduros. It's just naturals now medium or full bodied smokes. The Connecticut stuff tends to be bitter at times or so it seems...

You carry a DuPont torch, right? Does it really work as well as they say they do?
My torch has totally seen better days so I was shopping for a new one. My local shop mostly carries Xicar stuff but they also have some interesting soft flame torches as well as, of course, the ST DuPont torches. The thing that pisses me off the most is the temperature thing. Mine will not work at all unless it is at least hand-temp warm. The soft flame ones are interesting to me because of the low-heat light (and because they are different) but they don't work in the cold either AND they blow out easily (so kinda useless outside). That leaves me with the DuPont... And sticker shock... I have some $60 in loyalty cash that I have been saving up with them for a long time now. That is a good bit of the DuPont torch so I was thinking of doing that but I wanted your opinion first.
I'm going to take them my busted-ass Xicar next week and see what they can do about warranty trade it. I know it is guaranteed forever and all that but it is a super cheap one that I got off the Internet and I don't think my shop even carries that model. They couldn't say what they will be able to do without seeing it first, though. I'll guess I'll find out.

I did note that the Serie R maduros get super bitter near the nub end. I found my self tossing them sooner than I would the natural Serie R.

Xicar lighters are utter crap. Do not get one. Dupont or go home IF you want one that lasts & lasts. I have a few lighters just because, but the MaxiJet I got back in 2004 is still going strong.
