That was the dealer asking price for a new one when I bought mine (33k MSRP, but dealers wanted 37K with 1K deposit in advance).
I got mine used though.

Buy a car for more than MSRP because they said itll only be for sale for 1 year. Get in too deep and feel stupid.

I never heard that it would only be available for 1 year, but that it was always going to be a limited number produced each year.

I paid the premium in the spring of 2000. It was hard to pay off, but I don't regret a minute of owning that car.
