It is like a scale, right? On one side, "stuff I want done" with "how much I want to do that stuff" on the the other. The "weight" on the scale is equal to the amount of "want." All the crap that needs to get done or whatever just sits there and builds up until the desire to tackle any of them actually build enough to give weight to the "want" and the scale balances out.
That doesn't really make any sense, does it? Best I can do on a sleep addled mind.

Makes sense to me. Ours started out as a necessity, and then the want went along with it. If our wall didn't need replaced, we probably wouldn't have gone as far as we did with it.

I also think you get to a point in a particular project where you start to get results and those results motivate you to move forward or finish it. Like my never ending bathroom reno... We spent 20+ hours working on the floor this past weekend. Seeing the tile go down and getting a glimpse of what the final look will be is really encouraging me to finally finish it.
Even though I know the final-final details will never get done and it will hang out there forever and ever..

Beautiful day to be a convertible owner. I drove the Old Girl to work today just because I can. Probably will tomorrow, too.
She will roll over to 303,000 miles on my way home. Hopefully...
