The trick is the right kind of vacuum. You need a real "dust collector" rather than a typical shop vac. The last one I used had this wonderful corrugated tubing that wailed when you connected it to a vacuum. It was great! I had to wear a respirator AND ear protection.

i could make you a dust collector easily for pretty cheap...

also, Zeke, you're right... sander no worky on ceiling very well.


i've had decent success with them on walls. using a good shop vac and sanding a little slower than you normally would with just paper... the one i used collected the dust pretty well and didnt' get clogged too quickly.

I dunno about you guys but I had a BLAST getting to work today. Parts of Route 7 are pretty much just a log flume.
