So, Liz and I are harnessing power from the now. Well, sort of...we need the County to inspect an pass the system, then BGE comes out and installs a new meter, then we are on the grid. The challenge now is to find ways to cut our energy consumption down about 1/3. :eeek:

Why do you have to cut energy consumption so much?

That is probably the usage level at which the solar starts to pay for itself.

Who did the install for ya, Zekers? Solar City?

Trying to be 100% solar efficient. Current system can only provide about 2/3 of our consumption. Its a lofty goal, but one worth striving towards.

Vivint. Its a lease, so we still pay for power, but we pay less.

Remind me to turn on all your lights and open all your windows next time I come over.

I am wondering if it is time for Bobbie and I to do something like this. We have a part of our roof that is in the sun 365 days a year. I imagine it would be about perfect (not that I understand all the requirements, mind you) or at least looking into.

Did they talk at all about how it adds to home/resale value, Zeke?
