I'm just straight up, old fashioned BORED.

I was expecting the operational tempo to pick up after the holidays were over. I think it is actually slower (if that is even possible). There are four admins (including me) that work on my project and all of us are sitting around twiddling our thumbs.

This would have caused a fight in my household based on the factors you mentioned: length of drive, weather, relationship to people involved.

So warm outside, I walked from the overflow lot (~10 min walk). Glorious!

I have had that fight before and was told that I could just stay home if I thought it was a bad idea. She is going. No matter what... I'd rather that we die together than sit around all weekend worrying about her.




There is also one side note that I feel I should tell... When Bobbie had her 40th party a few years ago very few people came. This was very upsetting to her - she cried about it for days. BUT... Her sister (who is now turning 40) was one of the people that was there. They are kind of always there for one another when it matters. They are good like that (as disgusting as it may be). Her not going this weekend could be perceived (and most likely would be) as going against that very powerful force in their lives.

I really do not think I have a choice here besides sitting at home and worrying or braving the weather with her.
