Thanks. I'm waiting for Doctor T to give me the latest stats before I update the payment list.

BTW, for all others, it's getting close to the deadline for payments. Start getting them in if you can.

Are the OEM roll bars sufficient or do you need something seperate like a "Hard Dog"?

What's the final word on instructors? The original post says "it is our intent to provide professional driving instructors". So, can you confirm that instructors will indeed be on hand, how many, etc.? This would only be my second track day, so an in-car instructor would certainly come in handy.

OEM roll hoops are fine. We're allowed to run with top down. The only safety features you need are a helmet, closed toed shoes, and long pants I think.

This is only my second track day as well. We have a few veteran drivers that will be doing ride alongs and instruction with all drivers that don't have much experience on the track. The instructors will have substantial track experience but won't be certified. There is one BMW driving school instructor that has only given us a maybe so far. He's optomistic that he can make it, but it's not guaranteed. Hope that helps.

BTW, one of the guys that will be doing instruction and ride alongs was my instructor at my first track day. I was consistently the fastest N/A S2000 there and had the 2nd fastest track time overall. Definitely good guys.

If there won't be many instructors available, perhaps you can get one of the track officials or one of the experienced instructors to set up little cones just outside the track at the basic entry, apex, and exit of each corner. I've seen that at a lot of lapping events and although the cones tend to get knocked over as the day goes on, they seem to really help the new folks get the basic lines down.

Although, I don't have my instructors license, I would be happy to give a few rides and help people with the basic lines if there's a real need.

Mike
