That's cutting it close. But can't think of a better way to test the tuning job and brakes. Let me know if things change.

I have secured a group rate at the Executive Inn in Kershaw for the 14th and the 15th. They are the closest hotel to the track and usually cater to race teams or race events. Their contact information is as follows:
Executive Inn-Kershaw
301 S. Hampton St
Kershaw, SC 29067
Reservations:
Phone: (803) 475-7575
Please mention that you're with the S2000 Atlanta group and your group rate. Group rates are as follows:
single queen: $39.95 per night plus tax
double: $44.95 per night plus tax
Should you have any problems, ask for Ashish, the manager.
I have updated the first post with this info.

would love to do it... going to new tracks is always fun. a little too far to drive the car, if something happened would get raped on flat towing it home. plus highway driving at speed limits that long to avoid tickets is a killer....
looks like i need a trailer, and a truck to tow it.... dang, whats next, a gun rack in the truck?

Don't worry about it. Go ahead and register. We'll push you around a lap if for some reason your car poops out on you

i think there is a law about being in towed vehicles/trailers while driving.... would probably be cheaper to get a rental trailer/truck for the events, avoid the hassle of parking them at the house, making payments, property taxes, etc...
trying to check out becoming an instructor an SP.... free track time on days there, plus every couple days you get a free pass at a SEAT time day. only problem is you risk life and limb with 1st time hotshots at the track that think being on closed course makes them better drivers at speed than they are at public roads.
am looking at Formula FSCCA open wheel cars..... hmmmm, used ones are going for around 30k (40k for new), speed, safety, can go real racing..... nice.
