If anyone is going to be swapping their brake pads at the track (or at the hotel the night before), let me know. I'd like to see what's involved firsthand.

In fact, if anyone will be doing anything mechanical, I may want to check it out. I'm trying to increase my mechanical know-how (which is basically zero).
I will be swapping my pads out that night at the hotel. That's pretty much it though. Depending on if my new swapable exhaust is done, I might be changing that out as well.

I will most likely have to be at the office on Friday, so if someone wants my spot, please let me know.

- Noooooooooo.....I say play the "sick day" card! We'll really miss you, Bryan. I hope things change.

Hey Cyclon 36, a few last questions:

1. Is there a tech form we need to fill out in advance, or do we get one Friday am?

2. What time do we meet at CMP on Friday? Last time I went it was 7:30 or so. (zzzzzzzzzz)

3. Do we need to print/bring car numbers for the car, or will they be provided?

Thanks so much for organizing this. Can't wait!

Ok, this just in from the head cheese. The track will officially open to us at 8:00am. You are requested to be there at 7:00am so that we can get the inspection and the drivers meet out of the way early. Tech inspection will just be a visual check off by either me or Dewain or both.

Numbers are not needed unless you really need to pick your car out of the lineup. That's about it. If anybody needs to get in touch with me before track day, I will be at the hotel mentioned in the first post on Thursday night. If you would like my cell phone, you can PM me.

Bryan, I wish I could trade you my FATT pass at Summit for yours, but my car isn't done yet.

Is anyone bringing a hot lap transmitter to this event? I can borrow one to bring, but I thought I would check first.

Thanks,
Mike

I'm sure somebody will. I was going to buy one for this, but I ended up spending all my money on the car instead

Anyway, we will have unoffical lap timers (people) that will be jotting down stats with a stopwatch. Not the best system, but good to get an idea of how everyone stands.

Just got a nail/screw in one of my front tires. Now what? Can it be repaired in a "track-worthy" way? Seems like I've read that plugs are a no-no.

Thanks.

I've plugged tires in the past with those sticky worm things and they held up fine. Since they'll be under alot of heat from the track, I'm not sure. How new are they? Whatever you do, don't use fix-a-flat or that slime stuff. That pretty much ruins your tire. I'd check with the racers section of this board.
