S2000 Car Audio Setup and Installer Recommendations
#11
I used Circuit City at North point Mall in Alpharetta. They did a great job with the installation. No problems at all. I kept the Honda head unit and put infinity 605cs 6-1/2 two ways in my door and they sound great. You can adjust the tweeter and angle it up so that it is not completely blocked by your leg. I installed the alpine V12 amp to send more power to the door speakers and to my sud in the trunk. They made me a custom fiber glass box in the trunk for a 10" sub. I think they charged me about $350 for the custom box. They may even still have the mold they used to make my box. I can check with them to be sure if you want to use them. It fits in the trunk where the jack and toolkit are, right in the bottom. I didn't really lose much trunk space putting it there. It can be easily removed without any screws or bolts if you should need the trunk space for anything. I put the jack in with the spare tire. The only down side is that it seems that the entire cars rattles now. I'm slowly fixing one rattle at a time, although it doesn't rattle much at all with the top down.
Congrats on getting the S. your going to love it.......

Thanks everybody for you valuable imput. I think I've made a decision. After talking to the installer at the Hifi buys off Alpharetta Hwy, I'm going to install Boston Acoustics Pro6.5"s in the doors, and have a custom enclosure built for the trunk. The guy's quoting me only $200 for the fiberglass enclosure, which from what I've seen is pretty cheap. I'm going to use my JBL amp to push to sub, and hopefully my Rockford Fosgate 10" will fit in the enclosure. The only thing I'm sketchy on is the amp that will power the two fronts. Hifi Buys is pushing an XTANT 2-channel. Seems pretty solid, but I might research a little more. Just thought I'd let everyone know in case they're considering something.
I'm going to try and make it to the meet and greet on Saturday. This club looks like it could make for a lot of good times. I may be getting this system installed though, so it might have to be next month.
