I am currently searching for a GPW S2000 and would really like one with a tan interior, which they stopped producing in 2006... Anyway, to the question...

Has anyone dealt with Phil Hughes Honda or live nearby this dealer?

I live in NC but would gladly drive down if this place would work me a good enough deal. I know the trade-in on my current car is going to be a couple thousand less than what I owe on it... but I would imagine the prices on these 2-05 GPW S2000's may help my bargaining power a lot.

Any feedback on the dealer or the vehicles would be greatly appreciated!!! If someone lives close enough to this dealer, an experienced eye giving these cars a look would be great too! Please help a future S2000 owner in any way you can! Thanks you!

Danny (dp32185 on the board) lives in Athens and would probably be the closest to that dealer. PM him and see if he'll go check it out. He likes shopping for things anyway

I haven't heard any news if they're good or bad though. Good luck with your search and purchase

I don't know about his Honda store, but Phil Hughes is a decent honest man. I worked for his Father in Atlanta when they came from the Bill Beck organization in Charlotte NC to open a Honda dealership in Morrow, Ga (south Atl) in 1981 I think. I'm sure you can pick up an 05 for real cheap..even under tissue..go for it, but it would be faster if it was berlina!

I am a fan of ALL of the colors of the S2000, trust me, it isn't an easy decision. If I can't get one of the remaining 05's with the gpw/tan combo then I will either go with a black/black or a white/black 06 model. Thanks again!

PM sent back. phihughes honda is only about 10 miles away...just send me $30 gas money and $125 for inspection. test driving is additional $75/15 minutes. i don't recall any bumps, if there are any in the dealership that i need to pass, it's extra $400 for a new lip
