Default Iridium Plug benefits

For those that want to know why.....

Quote from NGK website....

Iridium is a precious, silver-white metal and one of the densest materials found on earth. The natural properties of Iridium offered NGK the opportunity to create one of the world's finest spark plugs. The result are spark plugs that require less voltage to spark, burns fuel more efficiently, sparks at leaner air/fuel mixtures, and delivers higher horsepower and better gas mileage.

Not to mention longer life. Supposedly longer than platinum plugs which are supposed to be good for 100,000 miles...we'll see.

So, has anyone had a problem with misfires since the '60s? Iridium plugs are like AEMs hydrolock bypass. The main benefit is income to the seller.

Todd,

Have you installed yours and if so, can you feel any improvement?

I have not.
I am not under the impression that I will notice. Probably would need to do a before and after dyno to see a difference.

I am hoping for better gas milage. I can hopefully measure that.

I agree with Jose. Especially the psychological-butt-dyno. Its all in your head if you are feeling something from spark plugs. They can help out the motor if they are gapped properly. I do recommend them as a piece of all the little parts that add up to a better performing car. Would I do it again? Not sure. They might last longer, better gas milage? Don't care about that either.
