Default Gainesville area internet help

I just moved in less than a week ago and have Adelphia cable for internet and I am a bit displeased. Anyone else have this around here and what are your opinions? If this is off-topic, I apologize in advance, mods! Thanks for all the info you can spare.

I have adelphia at my house in Woodstock. Seems to be very reliable and fast.

I did have some problems with their crappy cable modem though.

I have Adelphia in Lawrenceville and it's actually been pretty good. I bought my own Motorola cable modem.

The only other fast access you may be able to get is Bell South DSL.

Adelphia at home is much faster than what we have at work.

I bought a Motorola Surfboard Cable Modem SB5100 (http://broadband.motorola.com/consumers/pr...100/default.asp)

It's on the list of Adelphia's approved modems (listed here).

I'm not sure about whether they would let you turn theirs in or not. Maybe give a call to customer service?
