Best route from the Dragon to Atlanta?
Hi guys, I've wandered up from the FL forum for a little advice. My wife and I are taking a 2 week road trip around the southeast at the end of this month, and at one point we'll be heading from the Dragon to Atlanta for an overnight stay. Any suggestions for the best roads to take in the S? I found a couple of google references to a nice road around Blood Mountain, but I can't seem to find exactly which road it is. Any tips on preferred routes?
Thanks!

Last trip up ther we took 400 north, then 28 to Franklin and went west through the park, through Aquone to 74 and up to 129. The drive through the park, along the river is fun. 129 up through Robbinsville was a nice warmup for Deals Gap. Just reverse our route.
If you want to get here quick, just take I-75.
The Dragon is a zoo (bikes & sporty cars) and covered up in cops on the weekends. Weekday mornings are the best time to be there.

Depends on what you mean by "better". Do you mean straight or twisty? The fastest way, or the most fun? There are a couple of ways you can go. you can
A.) take 129 to 19/400S on in to Atlanta or
B.) take 28 to 23/442 to 985S into Atlanta.
I prefer option B because it pretty twisty and puts me very very close to home (I live 30 mi N of Atlanta).
