Anouther victim of economic slowdown
Hey all,
I have sad news...I lost my job yesterday. I'm not sure what that means for us yet, since I have just started to look for a new job. However, getting rid of the S may be in my future.
Anyway, if any of you know someone who is looking for networking people, please let me know.
Hope to see ya'll around.

It seems to have made you spell British-anouther. Seriously, I feel your pain. My contract ran out in November and I was out of work for four months. I had to sell the S to make mortgage. My wife found me an IT job with her company, but I had to take a $50k per year pay cut. Things are tight, but the bills are getting paid. Oh how I long for the cush of a boom market.

Sorry to hear that man! Have you checked contracting? Head-hunters? I know economy is pretty bad right now here in Atlanta; especially for computer related jobs.
My company had changed hands twice since 2000, and also the because of Sept. 11 last year! (I'm in the Avionics field) I haven't get a raise since 2000! (But at least I'm getting tuition reimbursement-tax free) But since 2000, My company had laid off over 150 people! (We are a small private company, not more than 500 as a whole) We have 5 people in our IS department just in the Norcross division alone; So, I can't help you here, but I will keep my ears open if I hear anything!

I am sorry to hear that. Can you e-mail me your resume? I know a couple people in that field. I can not promise anything but I will get it to them.

JB,
If you are interested, I think that Home Depot might be hiring in Networking. I am taking it that you are looking for Cisco, Routers, and Hubs kind of networking. Send me your resume if you are interested.
Later,
Dewain
