Another Track day at Roebling on June 1-2 Info (Sat, Sunday)
#1
Just checked Chin Motorsports event, they also have a track day event set up in early June at Roebling Road. (They also have one at Roebling on Jan 26-27, but pretty much filled up by now; That shows you we need to register early! A lot of Ga NSX and Porsche guys are signed up with Chin Motor sports)
$300 for 2 days (on June 1st and 2nd)

It seems like the Road Atlanta and Talladega are the closest track near Atlanta, and Roebling Road is the next close track there is. But Road Atlanta is kind of expensive! I'm still doing research on the Talladega Gran Prix Raceway! Roebling is a bit far, but so far the price is fair and closer to the beach (at least most Roebling events are happening during warm weather!)

I think a track like Road Atlanta is good because of the banked curves and the elevation changes. From what I've seen of Roebling Road, it looked pretty flat. I've never been there so I may be wrong about Roebling.
I didn't like Atlanta Motor Speedway for a roadcoarse since they use the infield area which is FULL of gravel, does Talladega do the same thing?

Road Atlanta is a bit expensive! Usually $500 for both day and About $225 for Saturday for touring (track day by Panoz). And their schedule is very tight, because of races and other actives (You really have to reserve the track early). It's just too much to rent Road Atlanta! Because OF the elevations, you can't see the whole track anywhere. You need corner workers! And that cost money! They also require safety crew! That cost money! And they require Insurance! That's a lot of money! But I'm lucky to run this weekend with the ABC. But I still think it's a bit high on cost! This is why I'm looking for other alterative. May be sometime you get what you pay for? But I really think Roebling is good enough for some of great drivers like you guys. People race there!
I'm not sure about the Talladega Speedway?? But I was looking into "Little Talladega" as Talladega Gran Prix Raceway for our club to rent the track on! It's much cheaper and we can do what ever we want if we rent the track for a day!
Roebling is flat! Great for high speed! Especially the straight a way is longer than the one on Road Atlanta! Road Atlanta IS a great track, but for some of us (me especially) might be kind of tough. I'll let you know after this weekend! I just thought without the elevation changes, it will be easier to drive. Well, What I mean is at least you can just concentrate on the the turns and the speed on Roebling. But Road Atlanta, you have worry about changing in elevation (to switch gears, since we don't have a lot of torque at low RPM) and turns (gear change and braking) , and speed (throttle and gear changes)! Yeah! It will be great for experienced driver, but I'm a very BAD driver (and this car is so new for some of our members)! Plus it will be good to practice on other tracks and have difference turns to work on! What do you think?? Plus a lot of NSX and Porsche clubs are running on Roebling Road; So, it couldn't be that bad (because it's flat)??? BTW, I used to live in Hollywood, FL. and South Padre Island in Texas! That's FLAT!
Come on! get your helmet out and join us for the Roebling and beach!
