Great day at the track! Fun had by all. It was good to see at least 7 S2000's partake in the track day. Some of us just did the Track 101 but took turns riding with the legends in the group. WOW!!!! A S with a seasoned driver will make other cars look like grocery getters. Hope to see some pic from today. Highly recommend members catching the next one or even just do a ride along with a driver.
Great seeing so many S2000s out there. The 2 silver ones (jpdrain and mpetus) looks right at home at the track and it was great hearing the F22s roar coming out of turns 3 and 4.
It was great catching up with Ray, Graham and Kamal... we even got a shout out over the intercom thanking the S2000 group!
Thanks for posting the pictures Graham, it's nice to see some pictures of me + my car since I'm usually the one taking and posting the pictures.... speaking of which I'll post mine soon...
That was one of the best PDX's I have ever been to, partialy due to the fact that so many of us S2000 owners were there! Thank you to everyone who participated. I think it has always been clear what Honda's engineers had in mind when they started on the S2000 and this should be evident after yesterday. You don't need anything more than a stock S2000 and a race track to have an absolute blast!
The PDX organizers were very impressed by our turn out and are hoping to see more of us at future events. Test drives are $55 for a full run session = 20 mins on track and ride alongs are free if you are participating or just $15 if your not so if anyone wants to ride with me, Dave, Keith or any instructor for that matter just show up and sign in.
Hey guys, had a great time out there yesterday. It was nice to meet so many of you and get one session out there. Hopefully I can get some new tires on my ride and get time off of work to run the Wedsnesday event thats coming up mid-May... anyone else going?
Oh, I rode along with Cliff, who was my instructor but not active on S2ki... and wow, I was totally impressed by the S2000 in stock form with just some R-compounds. Looking forward to running GIR again, until then I'll post the pics that I've got...
