Default Now My S2K won't start

So Duane took my car to get food late last nite and calls and says it wouldn't start.
He got it pushed started and made it home. But then it stalled pulling up to the garage.
Battery drops to 10V when he tries to start it. (I think that's what he said!!) After working
on it for a couple of hours he put it on the charger overnight. Still wouldn't start this morning.
Hopefully it will be running for Saturday! Bummer is this is our only car right now

Battery could be dead... might want to check that. Also check fuses and wires... are the battery wires in good shape? No rust, calcium build up, etc?

So the battery is good and the battery wires are good. When you turn the key to the on position the voltage drops down to 10 OHMS reading between the positive and negative battery wires. Doesn't drop if you only turn to the accessory position only. Anyone know if this is what it should read?

Just for grins, try another battery ... sure sounds like a dead battery.

You just set up that gazillion-watt stereo, eh?

I agree with Keith that it's a juice problem. My car barely started several times last winter, even though the battery read 'a little shy of normal'. It was pushing 6 years of age. How old is your battery?

Good question on the age of the battery... don't know. Duane is putting AJ's optima battery in now to try that, but that hasn't been used in months so who knows how it will do!!!!
And the stereo isn't in yet.

Can anyone tell us what the ohms should read if you touch the multimeter to the battery cables only...? not on the battery ... with the key turned to the on position?
anyone willing to go read theirs now?

Well guess it's getting towed to Honda in the morning. Wouldn't start even with AJ's battery in.
So Duane is giving up.
