Default Local Area Tint Shop

Looking to get the windows tinted soon while its still cold out and I'm not tempted to drop the windows and top too often. Any reccomended places that people have had good results with? I'm hoping to stay on the IL side of STL, but would be willing to drive somewhat if it means having it done right, at the right price. Thanks!

Custom sounds or Audio Express off the St. Claire's Mall exit. Either place is good. But I prefer Audio Express because they give military discount and they only charged me $90 bucks for 3 windows at 5% tint.

Jamesburk3, when the weather gets better we can do a little meet up over here since you're not that too far from us. We are all around the Scott Air Force base area so all of us can do a little meet/greet/eat/photoshoot type of ordeal.

For sure. I'm down for that.

I really need to find a hose hookup around my apartment complex so I can wash my car there. The damn car wash bays are a rip-off at $1.50 for 4 minutes.

Also saw your car today at the gym. How the hell do you keep it so clean! I'm jealous.

Thanks man! um... I wash it every chance I get. I just hate looking at it with all the filth and grime on it. But yeah... as far as getting your windows tinted... the place I recommended is really good.

Depending on the weather I might try and give them a call for this weekend. I forgot how without tinted windows everyone can see in. Fishbowl FTL!

I did have my car tinted at one point with 5% all around. I just got tired of rolling my windows to see at night and opening my door to back up the car because I couldn't see crap. I also got tired of cops follwing me wanting to pull me over but they can't because I have NC license plate. So I decided to take it off.

I'm not going to go crazy dark like 5% but I think I'll go with 25-30%. I'll have TN tags (if they ever come) so it shouldn't be an issue as I think the legal limit there is 30 or 35%. I had 30% on my last car and it was just about perfect. I could still see out at night and it was just dark enough where you couldn't quite see into the car. I have a feeling 30% will look darker from the outside because of two less windows and the ragtop
