I will say this: V2, which is what I have produces a lot of drone inside the car, but the true sweetness is when you have the top down and stomp on it, haha! I've also had a problem with one of my tips rattling...it's been spot-welded a couple of times, but hold doesn't last more than five or six months.

Anyhow, if you want a loud, but smooth exhaust, that looks great, I think Invidia is the best bang for your buck.

By the way - while your post-ID is easy to remember - it is also politically suggestive. Good for you!

I've driven many miles behind s2kjr (who at the time, had an Invidia exhaust installed on his S) and thought it sounded freakin' AWESOME!! However, s2kjr, has since then replaced it with the stock exhaust due to the drone and excessive loudness.

Please note that both me and s2kjr are 'a little older' ... say ~25 in the head, but maybe older in years. I'd like to say we each like to enjoy a conversation with a passenger on occassion.

Last I heard, s2kjr was considering to sell his exhaust.

All that said, if you want an exhaust that you can talk over at 'drone rpms' (i.e., 3-4k rpm) - but absolutly SCREAMS at WOT - get an AMUUUZE wooohooo!

Your welcome to ride in mine if your down in Stl sometime. Just shoot me a PM.
Or if you can join in on the next group drive I hope to be in attendance.

I bought the Invidia V3 used from a fellow St. Louis Gateway member. The sound can get loud and deep but to me doesn't have that tinny rice sound. I've found it very enjoyable for the $$$.

My memory is a bit cloudy at the moment
But I think I am going on three months now.

I thought it was way to loud for me at first but after a week I got used to the sound and actually changed my driving habits a bit as not to draw any more attention to myself than need be. Since then its been great. I only hear "drone" when the top is up. Once December gets here, I'll put the stock exhaust back on until March rolls around.

Wow, thank you for all the great responses!
rehile, that amuse sounds interesting, but i don't quite have that much capital.
I'm only 21 so I wouldn't mind the drone so much, But as a former driver of a supercharged silverado hd with cutouts , I've learned that the ladies aren't as keen to the horrible noises i enjoy.
I'm new to the mesageboards and you guys have been great help, I'll do ridelong in an invidia, and see how it suits me.
I'll PM s2kjr if I end up being in the market for an invidia.
