WTD 2008 Who's Going & Countdown
Please mark your calendars for the days of APRIL 17th, 18th, 19th and 20th, 2008. WTD 2008 will be a 4 day event...starting on Thursday and Friday with vendors set up (dent removal, detailing service and more to come).
Organizers are gearing up for a WTD event like NO other! We plan to accommodate 300+ S2000s and 400+ people.

Full registration and details before New Year 2008
You can begin to make your accommodation reservations directly with Fontana Village Resort for Wake the Dragon 2008. The event dates are Thursday, April 17 (arrival date) - Sunday, April 20, 2008 (departure date).
You will need to call their 800 number (800.849.2258 ) and request the "Wake the Dragon 2008" rates. The rates we've been given (listed below) are substantially less than their regular peak season rates.
Fontana Village has a wide variety of lodging options. Visit their website (Fontana Village Website) for detailed descriptions and photos of the various lodging choices.
We are currently working to get registration and a general itinerary up as soon as possible, but that will take some more time; targeting January 2008.
This looks to be our largest WTD ever, so get your reservations early!

Last year was a blast and the caravan to the Dragon was very cool with some great roads, good people, etc. Hopefully Zaksdad & Zacksmom will be going again and can lead the way.

EVENT DETAILS
April 17th (Thursday) - For those who'd like to attend earlier are more than welcome! We'll have some lightly organized drives around the area to include the Dragon, Fontana Dam, Hwy 28's Hellbender, Cherohala Skyway, Joyce Kilmer National Forest drive and Happy Valley.
Lunch - on your own
Dinner - on your own
April 18th (Friday) - Event itinerary available when you register at Fontana Village Resort. Enjoy some great driving around the Fontana area to include the Dragon.
Lunch - on your own
Dinner - on your own, however we will have a reception BON FIRE at the softball field for ALL S2000 owners/enthusiasts
April 19th (Saturday) - Start the event day, we'll do our cermonial driver's meeting reminding folks NOT TO CROSS THE DOUBLE YELLOW LINE (or else batguano will post pictures of you on the internet ). We'll do our "monster roll" onto the Dragon, taking Hwy 28 to the Crossroads of Time... We'll enjoy a great day of Dragon Driving and lots of it. Your'e on your own for lunch (but don't fret - Deal's Gap, Fontana and Robbinsville have some great offerings). More driving and we'll have some organized "group" drives set up for folks (dare I say) who tire of the Dragon.
Lunch - on your own
Dinner - included with your registration; at Fontana Village (medley of good food choices...)
After dinner raffle (nothing settles a stomach better than winning a prize)
REGISTRATION COSTS
BASIC REGISTRATION (Driver or Passenger) - $27 (Each Attendee)
INCLUDES: Event t-shirt, lanyard with name tag (Real name and Screen name), Event magnet (for your S2000), Event Itinerary (what to do and where to go)Raffle ticket for Saturday's dinner (prizes), Dinner at Fontana Village on Saturday.
EVENT T-SHIRT - $18 (Each T-Shirt)
INCLUDES: High Quality 100% Cotton Tee with event logo screenprint.

i'm pretty sure i'll be there .. but i'll be staying about 30 miles away with another S2000 owner.
I'm in Ocala ... but, i'm not sure if i'll be able to caravan with everyone on Thursday. I may not leave until Friday night.
