What is time attack/ time trials

Time attack/time trials are a race against the clock = solo, no other cars/drivers. Can be on an autox course or a racetrack.
Track day/HPDE (High Performance Driving Experience) is an event at a racetrack where you go to have fun, tune your car, get instruction, go nuts with the safety of others in mind. No clock, no racing. Just go ol' track experience.
Hope this makes sense.

I just put this together for another board. If you think any changes or additions are needed, let me know.
What types of events are there?
Road racing/Circuit Racing = Wheel to wheel racing on a big track like Sebring
Road Rally = Car rally that takes place on public roads.
Rally-X (American version) = Low speed timed event on a dirt lot with cones.
Auto-X = Low speed timed event on a tarmac lot with cones.
HPDE/Open Track/Track Day/PDX = Driver education, no racing nor timing, on a big track like Sebring.
Stage Rally/Pro Rally = High speed time trials on closed roads.
Time attack/Time Trials/Track Trials/Club Trials = High speed timed event on a big track like Sebring.
Hillclimb = High speed time trials on closed roads going uphill.
