From what I've been reading on the board, you should be able to pick a new one ('03) up for a few hundred $$ under MSRP. There are some being sold up in the bitter cold central midwest for around $1k under MSRP on '03s and less for leftover '02s. This is a good time to buy, car sales are down and there are quotas to be met.
Chris has been pretty active on the board so if I were you I'd give him a chance to sell you a car.

Yes I understand that Chicago is selling them under MSRP, but you'll end up paying more from just travel and transportation expenses.
Again, I definitely recommend Braman Honda and Chris. Great dealership and Chris is a good guy to deal with. I've personally purchased my S2000 from Braman Honda and it was a good experience. Service department at Braman is excellent as well.

Hi, I live in SW Florida and it was and ai difficult to find any dealer who will sell for MSRP. I tried for ten months to no avail. THEN I saw a posting for a 2003 S2000 for sale in Joliet, IL ( that's right ...cold country). Well, I got it $1,065 under MSRP, the dealer sent a limo to the airport to pick me up and I was happily driving away in less than 60 minutes.
The expense to go to IL wasn't bad, got a $177 one way ticket from SW Int'l on ATA, was fortunate not to run into any bad weather on the way back, got to see some of the USA I hadn't seen and got my break in miles behind me.
I highly recommend Honda of Joliet ( Kim & Lou Torabeni)

Pgibson, Props in the finding of a S2000 under MSRP. But man what a mission! To fly to IL, and drive back. That in my opinion is a big mission, I can't miss school or work, so that will not have help me out. Now you know that their is a Dealership that will see you a S2000 for MSRP, and you don't have to fly to IL.

BigMikes, Congrats on your find! Good to hear that there is some dealer sanity on the east coast of the state.
Chis C. Yes it was a mission. I left on a Friday morning (early, very early) and got back to Punta Gorda Sunday night. Distance was about 1,450 miles. But, like anything else, one quickly forgets the craziness of the venture when one walks into his garage and sees an S2000 smiling at him saying let's go for a drive! PaulG
